Simone Stoltz

My name is Simone Stoltz and I moved to Canada in 2012 from South Africa looking for new challenges (like the weather ;) I have always been deeply interested the human body and its movement, and nursing used to be my passion back in South Africa. But since moving to Canada I decided to pursue a different lifestyle and fell in love with Pilates and the STOTT method. I have been dancing since the age of six and my favorite is Tap Dancing. At the moment I am certified in Mat and Reformer Level1, Injuries and Special Populations as well as Zenga Equipment Level 1 and TRX Group suspension training. I am in the process of becoming fully certified and taking courses whenever I can fit them in. I would love to be fully certified in the (hopefully) near future and am always looking for the next challenge on the horizon.

Julie Conlin

I have always had a love for movement and dance and a fascination
with the human body. In my youth I actively pursued Highland
Dancing and Cheerleading as a way to embrace this passion. I
studied Anatomy at the U of S and Medical X-ray Technology at
NAIT. I loved working with people and being a piece of the puzzle in
their health journey. A severe whiplash injury in 2004 forced me to
seek many types of medical treatment and eventually led me to post
rehab Pilates sessions. Working on the Reformer reignited my love of
movement and soon after I began my journey to become a STOTT
Pilates Certified Instructor (2014). I love to work one on one with
clients helping them to embrace and refine their Pilates practice and
enjoy the energy and challenge that comes with teaching a group
class. In an effort to learn more about the Human Body I recently
completed my Level 2 Instructor Training in The MELT Method, a
Self-Treatment system to Eliminate Chronic Pain. When not doing or
thinking about Pilates & MELT I enjoy spending time with my
husband Tim and 3 nearly grown children. I look forward to meeting &
sharing my love of Pilates with you and joining you on your journey of
achieving a healthier body

Cathy Morrison

Stott Pilates®, Yoga Alliance® E-RYT, Yamuna Body Rolling® Cathy has always loved movement and has spent her life immersed in dance. She combined her passion for learning and teaching others by pursuing a career in fitness. Although she originally got involved in the industry by accident, she soon discovered how fulfilling and fun it was. She works full time teaching all types of classes and has experience as an director, educator and presenter. She hopes to inspire her participants to find better balance in their bodies, while having a great time. 

Avery Maxwell

Avery has a dance background in classical and contemporary ballet, which first inspired her love of movement and the mind/body connection. She is a fully-certified Advanced-Level STOTT PILATES® Instructor and has been teaching both Private and Group Pilates since 2000, with a particular interest in Injuries and Special Populations (Pre/Postnatal, Athletes, Elderly populations, Injury Management, etc.). In 2012 she began her Restorative Exercise™ training under biomechanist Katy Bowman M.S., and is now also certified as both a Restorative Exercise Specialist™ and a Healthy Foot Practitioner™ through the Restorative Exercise Institute. This allows her to guide others through nutritious movements and correctives that maximize the health of all the various body systems (Musculoskeletal, Cardiovascular, Lymphatic, etc.) through whole-body alignment, while in turn minimizing degeneration and injury. Avery is a Junction 9 local (living in the neighbouring community of Ramsay), café latte lover, and mom of two smart girls. She has taught throughout Calgary as a self-professed “Alignment Nerd”, and loves introducing people to their own potential for health and vitality.

Karyn Duffy

I love and live by a holistic healthy lifestyle including balanced nutrition and being outdoors & active year round. I love mountain biking, hiking, tennis, and any other outdoor activities I can find.
I strive to always be learning new and innovative ways to challenge the body and embrace new trends in fitness beyond just Pilates. Deeply passionate about helping others improve their posture, reduce pain, and transform their bodies - I am blessed to be able to make a career out of it.
I am a fully certified STOTT PILATES® Instructor including Matwork, Reformer, Cadillac, Chair, Ladder Barrel, Arc Barrel and Spine Corrector to advanced levels as well as Injuries and Special Populations. In addition, I am a certified Zen-Ga Instructor, Neurokinetic Therapy Level 1, CAN FIT PRO® Personal Trainer Specialist, AFLCA Aqua Fitness Instructor, TRX® Suspension Trainer, and Metafit HIIT Trainer.
This class will elevate your expectations of strength and endurance while challenging your muscles and your mind. A total body workout, creatively utilizing the Reformer with a variety of props including, hand weights, fitness circle, resistance bands and cardio tramp to challenge you in unique ways each class. Expect to sweat and work as hard as you wish in this open level class. Modification will be given to allow everybody and Every Body to discover your own goals and safely challenge yourself beyond what you thought was possible. *This class is recommended for those who have taken Reformer Align classes and are comfortable with the Pilates basics.
